Setting: A family returns from an innocent trip to a yard sale, with something more than they bargained for.
Script: This is a silent film with heavy emphasis on music and atmosphere to really cook up the creepy factor I was looking for.
Sidebar: I initially wanted to make a short movie about our weekly foray into yard sales. Over the years, we’ve met really unique people, come across great finds, found weird things, a few surprise antiques — and now this horse. Which is actually extremely creepy, and gave to us for free at a yard sale — the owner seemed a little too eager to unload this toy but our son fell in love with it immediately. It’s fully animatronic — moves makes sounds and interacts on its own. Every kid loves it, and it properly freaks out every adult – and thus Apocalypse Pony was born.
